Wait…what?! It’s June and the kids are out of school for the summer? Where has the time gone?
I have three great kids: Jonah, Myah and Eva. This summer, I have to find a way to get my kids to their practices and camps for wrestling, cross country, basketball, soccer and gymnastics. Then we will need to do something fun like trips to Adventureland, Altoona Aquatics Park pool and maybe a mini vacation to a nearby city. Locally, we will also plan to ride bikes on the trails with a stop to the library and probably grab some ice cream. Then of course we plan to have friends and neighbors over to play.
How am I able to get my kids to where they need to be, keep them entertained over the summer and still be able to do my job? That is easy, I work for the Altoona Campus! Being a full-time mom with a part-time job is perfect for me. Working here has given me the opportunity to use my college degree in Human Resources once again. I am very grateful to the Altoona Campus because they give me the flexibility to care for my children and get my work done. Another huge benefit is that I can take a fitness class and walk back to my office…therefore, there aren’t any excuses for me not to exercise.
