Community Wellness Programs

Altoona Campus’s mission is to improve the quality of life and health of our community through diverse, multi-generational programming that meets the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and social needs of our members. In partnership with the city, we serve the Altoona, Iowa community and its surrounding towns. Community programs like sports tournaments, recreational leagues, and events help bring us together and encourage healthy lifestyles.

Our community programs are open to members and non-members.

With many of our members using the trails for exercise, we wanted to share information from the City of Altoona.

Construction is planned to begin the week of August 20th on the new City Hall / Police Station. The location of the project is directly north of the Fire Station on Venbury Drive. As part of the construction a number of trail closures are necessary. Site construction is expected to last until Spring of 2020, with trail closures expected approximately the same length of time. The map below shows the location of the construction, as well as the trail closure locations.

Take this opportunity to check out the other awesome trails here in our town or use the #AltoonaCampus to get those runs in!
