Altoona Campus Kids Klub – Day and Summer Camp Programs

Our full-day programs are offered on regularly-scheduled Southeast Polk Community School teacher in-service days, as well as full-week camps during spring break, winter break, and summer vacation.

Summer Camp Adventures 2019 registration will begin after Spring Break, School Year Kids Klub Registration will begin after the current school year is done.

COST:

Registration Fee: $50 per student.

Weekly Cost Per student: Members of the Altoona Campus: $160.00  |  Non Members: $175.00

Cost includes all meals (breakfast, lunch, and snack), swimming, field trips, guest speakers, and all activities.

Some of our exciting camp opportunities include:

  • Healthy student driven meal options

  • Outdoor exploration and education at the Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge, Yellow Banks Park, and Altoona Community Gardens
  • Tours of Iowa Cubs home field facilities and attendance at home game
  • Literary activities through the United Way
  • Participating the World’s Largest Swim Lesson water safety event at the Altoona Campus aquatic park
  • Participation in a variety of reading programs

  • Community Service Projects driven by the students

  • Rotary Club adult mentorship program
  • Daily opportunities for active play and engagement

  • Swimming Lessons offered as well as transportation @ a separate cost

  • Partnership with SEP Teachers to help curb Summer Learning Loss

And so much more! Programming changes yearly and there’s always something new and fun.

We also participate in volunteer work and community events, which vary by season and location. Some fun past events have been the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer walk, collecting and donating 500 books to Blank Children’s Hospital, funding local college scholarships through the Dollars for Scholars program, and spending time with local retirement communities, nursing homes, and senior center.

Our school break and summer camp programs run from 9 am to 4 pm, with early drop-off available as early as 6:30 am and late pick up until 6 pm, Monday through Friday. We provide breakfast and lunch options as well as an afternoon snack.

We offer a number of different camp options for your kids. Sorry, no drop-in or daily rates.
