Altoona Campus Guidelines
Any individual not adhering to any of Altoona Campus policies may be asked to leave.
- Members and guests must wear closed-toe shoes throughout the facility, except in the locker rooms.
- Fighting, spitting, and inappropriate language or behaviors are prohibited. Violators will be asked to leave the facility immediately.
- Altoona Campus is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
- Lost and Found is located at the Welcome Desk.
- Any individual not adhering to Altoona Campus guidelines will be asked to leave.
- Food, Drinks, and Gum are prohibited in the gym. Please use the seating area outside the gym to enjoy food and beverages.
- Dunking and hanging on the basketball rims or nets is prohibited.
- Throwing basketballs against the wall or kicking basketballs is prohibited.
- Volleyballs and Soccer balls will be allowed at the Campus Staff’s discretion.
- No footballs are allowed in the gyms.
- No baseballs or softballs are allowed in the gyms.
- Altoona Campus reserves the right to close the gym or a portion of the gym for special programs, classes, events, or rentals.
- Children under the age of 9 years of age MUST be supervised by a parent/guardian or Children 12 and older may supervise siblings under the age of 9.
- When supervising children/siblings you must be in the same room as the children/siblings.
- If you are over the age of 16 you can use the track without supervision.
- If you are between 9-15 of age and have completed the track orientation you can use the track without supervision.
- Walkers should use the outside lanes and runners should use the inside lanes.
- Strollers are allowed in walking lane only. (child must stay in stroller)
- We have family track hours on Sundays from 1-3pm. Children must be supervised.
- Youth under the age of 12 are not allowed in the cardio and weight room, even with a parent.
- Youth between 12-15 of age may use the cardio and weight room after completion of the cardio and weight room orientation. (Free weights NOT included)
- Youth between 14-15 year olds may obtain a signed parent/guardian waiver AND have taken the cardio and weight room orientation.
- In order to prevent damage to equipment and for sanitation reasons, proper exercise attire is required.
- Shirts or athletic tops must be worn at all times.
- Shoes must be worn.
- No offensive or derogatory graphics or language on any apparel.
- No videotaping is allowed
- 30-minute time limit on all cardio machines during peak hours of the facility.
- Re-rack weights when finished.
- Be respectful, pick up after yourself.
- All Classes are included in membership
- There are accommodations for all Fitness Levels
- Must Be 14+ Years Old
- The use of cell phones is prohibited in all locker rooms.
- Members are responsible for providing their own locks for the lockers.
- Lockers are available for 1 day use only.
- Altoona Campus reserves the right to remove locks that remain on lockers overnight.
- Members and guests ages 5 and up are required to use the locker room of their gender.
- Families are welcome to use the family locker rooms when caring for young children under the age of 5, of the opposite sex.
- Children under the age of 6 may not participate.
- Children between 6-16 of age may only participate when supervised by their parents or guardian, if they do not have a weight room card.
- Children between 12-15 of age do not need to be supervised if they have a weight room card.
- Courts reservations may be made at the front desk or online in 30-minute intervals per person.
- Courts may be reserved up to 1 week in advance.
- Walk-ins are welcome if there are no reservation already.
- Reservations are forfeited after 10 mins of no show.
- Maximum of 4 players are allowed per court.
- Clean athletic shoes only, no black soled shoes are allowed.
- Eye guards are strongly recommended.
- Metal racquets must have plastic guards on them.
- We recommend children under the age of 9 be supervised by parent or guardian.
- Those using life jackets or flotation aids while swimming MUST be supervised by parent or guardian.
- Beware of water depths before entering, the pool is marked along the edge of the pool with its depths.
- No running, pushing, or rough play of any kind.
- Dive only in deep water.
- No back dives or flips.
- Do not climb on, play on, or go under the railings along the ramp.
- Do not sit or hang on the lap lanes.
- Tennis balls, golf balls, basketballs, footballs, etc. are not allowed in the swimming area.
- You are welcome to bring your own inflatable toys or flotation devices, but you must use them in a responsible manner.
- Pool towels may be rented at the front desk for $.50
- Food, gum, or glass containers are not permitted in the swimming area.
- We suggest that you shower before entering the pool.
- Only clothing advertised and sold as ‘swimwear’ may be worn in the pool.
- swim trunks, swim suites, water shirts, water shoes, etc.
- Non ‘swimwear’ clothing is not allowed.
- T-shirts, gym shorts, pants, etc.
- Youth who are 9 or older can have limited access to the facility on their own
- Pool, Basketball gym and Youth machines/area
- Youth who are 9-15 and would like access to the elevated track must complete the YOUTH TRACK Orientation.

- Youth who are 12-15 and would like access to the elevated track and the cardio room / machine weights must complete the WEIGHT ROOM Orientation.
- $15 – See the Welcome Desk
- No one under the age of 16 is allowed on the elevated track or in the weight room without a YOUTH TRACK or WEIGHT ROOM band.
- We have family track hours on Sundays from 1-3pm.
- Youth who are 14 and would like access to the free weights must get a signed permission slip by a parent/guardian and Campus Staff.
- Youth who are 14 can participate in the free Altoona Campus Fitness classes.
- Youth who are 16 will have full access to the facility without a WEIGHT ROOM band.
- Children 12 and older may supervise siblings 8 and under.
