Strength and Slide // Beginner/Intermediate
Sliding mixed with weight training, flexband resistance and floor exercises for body toning and total cardio conditioning.
CardioStages // Beginner/Intermediate
A interval cardio combo class that utilizes bands, weights, jump ropes and step movements for an overall excellent body conditioner.
Step // Beginner/Intermediate
Pure step aerobics! No-nonsense cardiovascular workout gets your heart pumping.

Lose Weight! Cross-training intervals including cardio, jump rope, step, resistance bands, gliding discs, Pilates and weights all in 1 class.
Aqua Cardiosculpt // Beginner, Intermediate
A great 45 minute weight loss class concentrating on cardio and strength exercise in the water, using gloves, fins, noodles and dumbbells.

Senior Chair Class // Beginner
Gain upper body strength and flexibility using hand weights and Pilates balls to increase bone density and tone muscles - all done while sitting in a chair!

High intensity circuit training with intervals of strength conditioning using various equipment.

Relieve stress and calm your mind through breathing and movement in a meditative flow of postures called “asanas.”

Tired of doing the same basic crunches? Try this workout for a variety of effective exercises to tone the entire abdominal area.
Forever Fit // Novice
New, low-impact aerobic choreography set to 40s and 50s music. Moderately and comfortably paced aerobics.
  Ball Band Express // Beginner/Intermediate
Resistance training using bands, weight bars and tubing, followed by floor exercise for body toning.
Chicometrics // Beginner
Isometric movements tone and tighten the entire body. Lose Inches!
 

Cardio Circuit //Intermediate
Cardiovasular intervals incorporating resistance training, double-stepping and Stott Pilates.

ZUMBA // Beginner
The Latin inspired aerobics program originated in South Beach. ZUMBA is 45 minutes of aerobic dance featuring a variety of rhythms from all over Latin America. You will get a taste of meringue, salsa, flamenco, samba, tango, reggae, cumbia, calypso, hip hop and more.
Offered to members 15 years and older.
  Walk/Jog Club // Beginner/Intermediate
Walk or jog on the beautiful outdoor Altoona trails. Walk or jog with a group for motivation and a chance to socialize.
Pilates
Pilates develops core strength and overall body toning.Complete abdominal, back, buttock, and leg conditioner that emphasizes fluid movement through floor exercise, ball work, versa tubing and weights.
  PI-YO
Pilates and Yoga unite in this contemporary toning workout.
Pi-YO creates an exploratory journey into movement,
improving strength, flexibility, balance and reducing stress.
Cycle 30 // Beginner/Intermediate
Iowa's hottest indoor cycling club! Endurance, strength, and all-terrain cycling - these rides offer complete aerobic conditioning. Instructors recommend you bring a water bottle!
  Cycle 45 // Intermediate
For those wanting a little more challenge. Zone out in this all-terrain experience with motivational music to keep you moving. Instructors recommend you bring a water bottle!

Fitness Coordinator Terri Woods has 25 years of experience promoting, training and instructing in the wellness and fitness fields. Terri serves as Aerobic Coordinator for the state of Iowa for a National Certification Company and is AFFA Nationally Certified. Terri is also Turbokick certified, Body Pump certified, Spinning Certified, and has completed training for Stott Pilates Essential, Intermediate Mat and Reformer Pilates. Terri was voted 2000 Yoga Instructor of the Year by Cityview magazine and holds a BS in Exercise Science and Sports Studies from the University of Iowa. Terri also has received health endorsements from Drake University.
